How do you keep your kids room organized
It is fabulous to have kids, as they are a real miracle. However, once with the kids, problems come packed in the same wrapping. One of the problems, although probably the smallest of all, is the order in your kid’s room.
If you have little children, then you know how difficult it is to keep everything in order. No matter what you do, you simply can’t make things stay in their place.
And most of all, it is impossible to keep your kid’s room in order. And even if your kid has his/her own room, don’t you try to imagine that toys will stay in there.
On the contrary, every single toy will find its way to the other rooms of your home.
Convince your kid to keep his/her room in order
Of course parents and grandparents will always clean after the little ones. You definitely know how, by the end of the day, you carefully take every toy and put it in its place. However, after the kid gets older, you should take him/her to clean up the toys as well.
According to psychologists and other education specialists consider that when we try to force our children into doing something, we’ll only get the opposite. Even if you try to gently ask your kid to do what you want, he/she will definitely refuse doing so, more or less hidden.
You shouldn’t worry when your child refuses to do what you ask him to. Just think about this: opposing is a fact of life. Even adults oppose when their boss asks them to do something. Now ask yourself: do you happily do something that your boss asks you to? The answer is probably “no”. It is exactly the same with kids. They don’t want to do something they’re asked to, as they feel they do it because they must do it, not because they want to.
How to keep your kid’s room organized
As we said, when you do something because you must do it, you don’t want to. But when you like what you’re doing, then things change. So if you teach your kid to make order in his/her room with pleasure and as a play, then they’ll love doing it and they’ll understand that they should do this as part of their lives.
For example, you should design some special places, to consider them as “toys’ home”. This will be a real charm for your kid. You can also find some toy organizers to use in order to keep your kid’s room in order. They are really nice and they can fit any kid’s room. If your kid is older, you can try some storage boxes instead of the toy organizers. You can also use both the toy organizers and the storage boxes at the same time.
If you do this for your kid, he/she will love the way the room looks and will try to keep it in order, by placing the toys in their place. Teach your kid how to clean up while making a play out of this cleaning process. When your kid will do this as a game, he/she will feel the joy of doing it.
